Jumbie makes a statement with art install on soon to be demolished Jammin On building featuring artwork by Xavi Panneton alongside Honeypot

The latest edition of First Friday in the Arts District of Las Vegas that lined up in synchronicity with Cinco de Mayo and a Full Moon was as always an excellent success. The former Jammin On tie dye studio, event space, and common area for artists to mingle and create that is sadly scheduled to be demolished and turned into a bar is proudly still covered in psychedelic murals by the talented artist Xavi Panneton, a true hallmark to the creativity of the community and their ability to come together for something greater than one self. What made this night especially unique was Jumbie's Art Install, which spoke volumes to the resilience of artists to shine bright in the face of adversity.

Jumbie’s install featured his massive 8ft tall and 30ft wide “Desert Night” tapestry fastened over the boarded up windows of the colorfully muraled building as well as his stunning and patented RGB backlit Portals. Attendees and other vendors alike visited in awe of the spectacle. The seamlessly layered complex patterns upon a highly edited image of a vibrant desert landscape lit up by exterior color changing lighting perfectly captured the essence of the majesty that is the surrounding desert landscape both locals and visitors have come to love. Jumbie’s portals are now available for everyone and all come paired with a matching NFT.

Adding another layer of brilliance and energy to the marketplace was Honeypot's massive crystal display. Thousands of quartz, amethyst, selenite, hematite, malachite, and more filled the tables alongside beautiful sets of jewelry, tarot decks, magic wands, and racks of apparel all available for retail purchase. Make sure to check them out on your next visit to downtown as the vibes are sure to get you buzzing.

Special thanks to the coordinators of First Friday LV for continually bringing this incredible gathering to life. This event is a testament to the power of art and its ability to captivate, inspire, and bring community together to achieve something greater than themselves alone.

Along with many incredible vendors and artists, Jumbie's Art Install, Xavi Panneton's murals, and Honeypot's crystal display were a triumph that highlighted the resilience of the art community to hold an enlightened space radiating peace and love in an otherwise sinful city.
